Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Jargon Vault, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. This agreement is binding and applies to all users of the extension.

License and Permitted Use

Jargon Vault is provided as a licensed extension, not sold. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for personal or internal business purposes. Modification, distribution, reverse engineering, or interference with the extension or its features is prohibited. The extension must only be used for lawful purposes and in accordance with all applicable regulations.

User Responsibility and Database Security

If you choose to connect Jargon Vault to a custom CouchDB instance, you are entirely responsible for the configuration, security, and maintenance of that database. You are expected to implement authentication, use secure protocols such as HTTPS, manage roles and permissions appropriately, and restrict access through firewalls, VPNs, or similar security measures. Jargon Vault acts solely as a client interface and does not host or validate the security of your data. Any breach, data loss, or misconfiguration of the connected database is your responsibility.

Functionality and Features

Jargon Vault allows users to highlight jargon, acronyms, and abbreviations on any webpage and view their definitions instantly. The extension includes the ability to search for jargon terms across public or custom-defined vaults, switch between vault sources, and manage terms via a user dashboard. It enhances reading comprehension by surfacing relevant information inline without requiring additional context switching.

Compliance with Laws

You agree to use Jargon Vault in accordance with all applicable local, national, and international laws. Kaihatsu Bridge assumes no responsibility for unlawful use of the extension and disclaims any liability resulting from misuse or violation of legal standards.

Jargon Vault and its source code, branding, and related assets are the intellectual property of Kaihatsu Bridge. Use of the extension does not grant ownership or rights beyond those expressly outlined in this agreement. You may not copy, distribute, or modify the extension without written permission.

Modifications to Terms

Kaihatsu Bridge reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updates may be communicated through the extension interface or published on the official website. Continued use of Jargon Vault after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
